Welcome to this educational hub for learning The Jyoti Heart-Space Method.
If you have experienced a Jyoti session before, then you are already familiar with its ability to generate a deep sense of inner peace and healing. If you are new to Jyoti, please note that there are two main options available to you:
You can book a private one-on-one session with Chad Cornell to explore and experience this method. A description of the experience is provided further below.
It is recommended that your first session be private—either in person or online—as it may bring up deeper issues you may wish to process privately. Alternatively, you can book a more general session with another person or with a group. Group sessions tend to stay a little more on the surface of the practice, rather than moving into the deeper potential of the experience.
This pathway is for those who want to study Jyoti as a personal practice and possibly guide others in the future. It begins with an extensive pre-recorded Jyoti group class series that also includes access to related blogs and videos. Each class combines discussion of the philosophy behind the method with a guided meditation session.
Once this class series is completed, you may apply for the apprenticeship program, where you meet one-on-one with Chad to refine your ability to guide sessions in person or online.
In summary, Jyoti is a contemporary and eclectic method of inner alignment, best described as a guided meditation experience. It was originally created by Chad Cornell, a Canadian herbalist who has long practiced and taught natural healing and emerging mind-body therapy methods.
Jyoti does not belong exclusively to any one philosophical, religious, spiritual, or psychological view, nor does it require you to join any. At the heart of Jyoti’s worldview includes the idea that we are all like sparks from one great light, and that our true nature is divinely intelligent, loving, and powerful. However much of our suffering comes from forgetting that true nature, a state which our modern world seems to consistently promote.
An analogy might be that we are like indestructible diamonds at our core—already awake and enlightened. Yet, in the process of being born into this world, we often forget our true nature. Along the way, we are exposed to collective, ancestral, and personal trauma, as well as negative conditioning. One could think of this as a film over a camera lens, a clog in a flowing river, or a gem hidden beneath a hardened crust of earth. The result can include pain on different levels, "dis-ease" and a sense of being "disoriented" or "out of tune" or "blocked" in a variety of ways.
Jyoti can be understood as a journey home to the heart—not only our own heart, but the heart of creation itself.
The practice activates our innate ability to self-liberate and transmute what blocks us. The word Jyoti means “inner radiance,” and comes from ancient India. It can be considered a unique blend of both modern and ancient approaches to self-regulation and self-realization.
Methods may include the use of essential oils, music, breathwork, seed sounds, and guided imagery. Jyoti has been taught to hundreds of people—in therapy sessions, prisons, addiction recovery centers, festivals, ceremonies, and more.
A Jyoti session is usually done while sitting comfortably with the spine aligned, though it may also be done lying down if necessary. You remain fully clothed, and no physical touch is involved.
While being in person is ideal, Jyoti can also be experienced online. Because the process activates your own inner healing capacity, higher Self, and innate ability to realign, distance does not diminish its effect.
What many of us are longing for in this time is a simple, effective method of self-healing, self-attainment, and self-attunement—something that can be easily learned and integrated into everyday life. Jyoti is designed to be accessible, inclusive, and affordable for people from many walks of life and faith traditions.
To speak about Jyoti is one thing, but to experience it is another. For this reason, outside of the summer months of July, August, and September, group sessions will occasionally be offered. We also have a private Discord group where participants can share experiences and continue the exploration together.

If you wish to try a very general introduction to the Jyoti Method, you can explore the pre-recorded meditations on YouTube by searching for the channel Everyday Alchemy with Chad Cornell and opening the Meditation playlist.
One of these is a guided Jyoti meditation—a simplified version of the practice that still conveys some of its healing potential.
Although Jyoti practice naturally includes elements of inner-child healing, Jyoti Bala is a deeper approach that applies Jyoti specifically to unresolved early issues.
It involves a sensitive guided journey and delicate work that has led many to profound healing on all levels.
This training is intended for those who have already completed Tier II and who are ready to engage in private lessons with a Jyoti instructor. Most students learn this approach in 4–6 classes, though this may vary.
Chad Cornell is the main instructor for the Jyoti Method.
